One of my painting students gave me a lovely posy of lilies of the valley which lasted only a few days but looked delightful in a little china jug on the table in my back yard. The cheerful yellow colour of the jug with the whites and neutrals of the wall, the seashells and the scales, and the perfect purple pansy were so pretty I just had to take a picture.
