I am very lucky to have a job I enjoy. Right now I am putting the finishing touches to a book on decorating picture frames and am in the middle of another involving needlework. In the gaps in between I have been making papier maché models for my regular job on Art Attack magazine and doing other freelance work involving scrapbooking, knitting and crochet, and jewellery making (such as this 'hidden message' necklace click on the picture for a closer view).
For a few hours a week, I also teach my drawing and painting class and I'm halfway through the six-week, Monday night crochet workshop. With all these commitments, I've been working long days, six or seven days a week, which leaves me little time for my own work. And if I could find the time, what would I be doing? Well, drawing, painting, knitting, crocheting and sewing: just the same things I do for work, except I wouldn't get paid for it. So really I have nothing to complain about...
