Rag rugs
I like to use fabrics with a bit of stretch to make corcheted rag rugs. Old T-pshirts are good and so are tights and leotards; I also buy cut-price remnants from a local fabric shop. The rugs make good bath mats, throws, cat blankets and seat covers.
